Damian Lilly has more than 20 years’ experience working for the United Nations and nongovernmental organizations in the humanitarian sector in a variety of different contexts and roles. He was most recently Deputy Head of Office for the UN Office for the Coordination of Human Affairs (OCHA) in Chad and previously the Chief of the Protection Division at the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

He is currently working as an independent consultant conducting evaluations, strategic reviews and policy research. He has published a number of academic, policy and other articles on different topics related to the aid sector, including different aspects of humanitarian funding.
