Cristina Colόn is policy specialist in climate and environment at UNICEF Innocenti Global Office of Research and Foresight where she leads analysis on climate energy and environment, including biodiversity issues and how they affect children’s rights, development and well-being. She also interprets trends ands scans the horizon for frontier issues on the environment to shape global discourse and inform UNICEF's approach on these issues. She has also been closely involved with looking at opportunities to leverage climate financing to achieve improved results for children.

Prior to working at UNICEF, she held positions at the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Democracy Fund and the UN Office for Project Services.
