Lorenzo Newman

Lorenzo Newman is Learn More’s Managing Director and an accomplished education and learning Expert with more than 15 years’ experience managing complex research projects for leading international nongovernmental organizations, UN agencies, private foundations and national governments, primarily in low-income contexts in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He is also an experienced instructional designer and workshop facilitator.

Lorenzo led the evaluation of GPE’s $500M COVID-19 grant portfolio, managing the evaluation team and presenting the findings to the Secretariat and Board. Other recent projects include leading complex multicountry education program evaluations for Sesame Workshop and Right to Play, and the global evaluation of the Connecting Classrooms program, the largest ever research commissioned by British Council.

Previously Lorenzo was a Teach for America Teaching Fellow and Senior Consultant in PwC’s Government and International Development Advisory Practice. He holds a MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics from the Trinity College of Dublin.
