Yousef Khalifa Aleghfeli is a refugee education researcher and data scientist with a DPhil in education from the University of Oxford. They also have degrees in education, public administration and international studies from Harvard University, Columbia University and the American University of Sharjah.

Currently, Yousef is a Research Fellow in Data Science and Migration with the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Migration & Integration Program at Toronto Metropolitan University. At the same time, they are a research affiliate with the Rees Centre and the TalkTogether program at the University of Oxford and with the Hub for Education for Refugees in Europe (HERE) at the University of Nottingham.

Prior to their doctoral studies, Yousef gained extensive experience working in research, policy and data analytics for various nongovernmental organizations, governments and United Nations agencies internationally.
