Abrehet Gebremedhin

Abrehet is a researcher focusing on the role of non-state actors in educational policy, youth inclusion and political engagement, and global education institutions and governance. She is also an expert in the monitoring and evaluation of education and child-centered programs.

Abrehet is a PhD candidate at the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C. and is currently a Fulbright Scholar conducting field research on historical education policymaking in Ethiopia.

She was previously the Deputy Team Leader of an Evaluation of the Dubai Cares Girls Education Portfolio, the Ethiopia Evaluation Lead for the BMGF and CIFF Adolescent 360 Process Evaluation, and Evaluator for country-level of Global Partnership for Education's support to Ethiopia and Malawi. Abrehet has also worked with clients such as DFID, UNICEF, Girl Effect, Save the Children, and WFP.
