Rary Adria Rakotoarivony has 15 years of professional experience in education and social sectors. She was the Education Task Team Leader at the World Bank Country office and in charge of the Madagascar and Comoros education portfolio. She was focused on early grade learning, basic education programs and research (teacher development, early grade reading program, expansion of lower secondary education, education service delivery indicators). 

She is an economist and holds a Master degree in Advanced International Development from the Institut Européen des Hautes Etudes Internationales (France) in collaboration with Institut für Europaïsche Politik of Berlin (Germany), and the University of Economics «la Sapienza » of Rome (Italy). 

She also worked at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and was a Project Manager for the World Bank and French Development Agency education projects. She worked on emergency education projects with UNICEF, Norway and the European Union.
