Kate Adams

Kate Adams is the Special Representative to the United Kingdom at GPE and Senior G7 Strategy Lead, sitting in the Donor Relations Team. She is also the country coordinator for the Netherlands, manages the Donor Youth Leader Program, and leads on climate change as a donor policy issue. 

In her former role at GPE, she served as a high-level special adviser to former Australian Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, on the G7, G20, and UK relations. 

With almost 15 years’ experience, Kate started her career at the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and was Special Adviser to the UK Prime Minister’s Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (now FCDO), as well as adviser to the CEO’s of international charities and building War Child UK’s advocacy and campaigns Department. 

She has led and secured tangible policy commitments and change with major institutions and global processes including the UK Government, NATO, G7, G20, COP, and UK Political Parties. Outside GPE, she also currently sits on the Global Council of international development charity, StiR Education.
