Thalia Séguin

Thalia Séguin is an Associate Program Specialist in IIEP’s Technical Cooperation team. Thalia works on crisis-sensitive planning in the education sector, including planning for displaced populations. She has experience coordinating and facilitating the online course ‘Educational planning for crisis risk reduction and forced displacement’, and contributing to the implementation of IIEP’s crisis-sensitive educational planning program, which aims to reinforce the capacities of ministries of education and partner organizations to plan for crises.

In addition to her prior work at IIEP as Associate Project Editor, she contributed to the Institute’s research project on the use and usefulness of school grants, and to the development of a set of resource booklets for educational planners on addressing safety, resilience, and social cohesion. Before joining IIEP in 2014, she worked as a Consultant for Save the Children Norway and as a Human Rights Monitoring and Reporting Mechanisms Intern at UNICEF in Geneva.

She holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris.
