Yadicon Njie-Eribo (Yadi) is the National Coordinator of FAWE Gambia. Yadi has 20 years of experience in designing and implementing youth and women programs. She started her professional career as a producer and presenter of youth programs as Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) and thereafter as a Production Director at Worldview media agency, marking her 12 years stint in media. She then joined FAWE Gambia in 2008 and has worked with ministries of the government of the Gambia, international partners and donors, the United Nations system organizations, to implement girls and women education programs.

Her most significant achievement was in 2018, when she was part of the technical team that established the Transitional Justice. Pursuant to the National Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRRC) procedures, Yadi was appointed the Women’s Affairs Unit Coordinator at the TRRC.

Yadi’s passion for the social, economic and overall development of women and girls in The Gambia and beyond is the driving force of her professional life. This commitment is multifaceted and varied, from social equity to access to economic and civic empowerment, representation in every aspect of public life and governance functions.
