George Hamusunga is a human rights advocate who holds a first-class honors master’s degree in public advocacy and activism from the National University of Ireland, a Bachelor of Arts (with education) from the University of Zambia and a diploma in human rights from the University of Costa Rica. George has spent his 24-year career working for the government and the nongovernmental organization sector.

Currently working as Executive Director for the Zambia National Education Coalition (ZANEC), George has been working for the last 14 years in the field of public advocacy, mainly designing, and leading the implementation of advocacy and social accountability interventions at national level as well as participating in regional and global advocacy initiatives.
