Jennifer Pye

Jennifer Pye is a program specialist in the Training and Education program for the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP-UNESCO) in Paris, France. She oversees the development of training programs in the area of inclusive education with a focus on children and youth with disabilities.

Trained as a teacher with a Master’s degree in education policy and human development from George Washington University, Washington D.C., she worked for 10 years in the education sector at the World Bank where she focused on policy research on equity and access to educational opportunities, in particular for children and youth with disabilities. She also developed capacity development initiatives in the context of education project implementation in Liberia and Iraq and evaluated inclusive education projects in Kenya and Cameroon for Sightsavers.
