Bradford Strickland

Bradford Strickland supports the Equity, Gender Equality and Inclusion team at the GPE Secretariat. He is an international development specialist with expertise in multi-sectoral health and education programs, parental and community support for education, integration of disabilities in education programs, strategic communications, and private sector partnerships for development. He completed his PhD in anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, working on education and health services in rural Africa. He has worked extensively on school health issues at USAID, the American Institutes for Research, and Creative Associates. He has served as coordinator of the Education Working Group of the Clinton Global Initiative Haiti Action Network, chaired the UNESCO-led InterAgency Task Team on HIV and Education, and served as co-chair of the HIV and Education Working Group of the Washington-based Basic Education Coalition.
