I am shocked and outraged by the attacks on the educational center in Kabul, Afghanistan, and on the Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy in Kumba, Cameroon, on October 24.

I condemn these acts of violence in the strongest possible terms. Children and schools are not and must never be targets of violence.

Attacks on schools are unacceptable and a grave violation of children’s rights.

My deepest sympathies go out to those affected by these horrific incidents, and to the families of those who were killed and wounded.
