Liberia: Education Minister stresses challenges and progress

Speaking at the 38th UNESCO General Conference, Liberia’s education minister George W.Werner, highlighted the progress that Liberia has made in the education sector and the challenges that remain. Minister Werner also mentioned that a million textbooks for grades 5-9 and high school are being distributed thanks to funding from GPE.
