The Global Partnership for Education has joined the Global Education Coalition for COVID-19 Response launched by UNESCO. The coalition gathers various UN agencies, such as WHO, UNHCR and UNICEF, along with private sector partners, civil society organizations, and many others, who commit to working together to face the crisis that the world is experiencing.
"We must support education systems, which are a lifeline to so many children," said Alice Albright, GPE Chief Executive Officer. "GPE has already provided funds so that our partner governments can kick-start their responses. We are mobilizing finance to keep children in developing countries learning, support teachers and ensure that no one is left behind because of disruptions to education."
