Investing in girls’ education is one of the smartest investments a country can make. The ripple effects are numerous: educating girls boosts economic growth; curbs infant mortality; improves child nutrition; saves lives. But still close to 120 million girls across the world remain out of school.

GPE works with partners to leverage the expertise of diverse stakeholders and advance a gender-responsive approach to transforming education systems, which will guarantee girls and young women's rights within and through education.

This series of blogs features experts and practitioners' views on this essential work to make sure gender equality remains a priority in education.
