It is imperative to ensure that children and young people with disabilities can receive a quality education.

This requires accessible and inclusive learning environments, accessible teaching and learning materials, and innovative methodologies.

There’s still a long way to go. Too many students with disabilities still experience social isolation, rejection and even bullying at school.

The time has come for an inclusive future where stigma and isolation are no longer the norm, through fostering empathetic, inclusive mindsets, and accepting those who are different.

This series of blogs features experts and practitioners' views about the importance of investing in inclusive education because the cost of exclusion far exceeds the cost of inclusion.
