Stephanie Eyram Akrumah
Director, Centre for Green Growth - Ghana

Stephanie Eyram Akrumah is the Director of the Centre for Green Growth and a lawyer. She is a dynamic sustainability professional with expertise in environmental management and corporate sustainability. She develops and implements sustainability strategies that align with organizational goals and drive positive environmental impacts through projects aimed at sustainable practices.
Her expertise also extends to stakeholder engagement and sustaina-bility reporting tools. As a consultant, she specializes in climate change adaptation, ‘green’ jobs and mitigation solutions.
Notable contributions include: the ‘Stronger Together for Climate’ final policy for the British Council in Greece (2021) as well as consultations on the development of circular economy policy for waste pickers with the Ghana National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP), a working document for the African Development Bank (AFDB) African Youth Climate Council and Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) for COP27 held in Egypt, and research on climate adaptation gender and poverty for the economics department at the University of Ghana).
Stephanie has also contributed to opinion pieces and research on the green economy and is an avid facilitator, designing training manuals and training diverse audiences on environmental topics.
Stephanie has further collaborated with other prominent organizations including GIZ (the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH), Gender@International Bonn, the United Nations Campus in Bonn (UN Bonn), Deutsche Welle (DW), the Ban Ki-Moon Centre for Global Citizens, the CARE (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere) Climate and Resilience Academy, UNICEF, the World Bank Group, the Climate Parliament and the European Union.
