Nathan M. Castillo is an Assistant Professor of Global Studies in Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Castillo is an international education development scholar whose research interrogates learning equity in the Global South and how appropriate uses of technology can improve learning, instruction, and assessment in low-income contexts. Nathan has served as an adviser to UNICEF, UNESCO, USAID, the Inter-American Development Bank, and several international, non-government organizations. His 2022 co-edited volume, Learning, Marginalization, and Improving Education in Low-Income Countries is freely available through Open Book Publishers (Cambridge, UK).
