Monirath Siv

Monirath Siv is the CEO and Founder of Teach For Cambodia (TFC). TFC is a local nonprofit organization that hires outstanding young Cambodians and develops their leadership skills in service to rebuilding our nation through partnerships with the public and private sector.

In the past 7 years, nearly 140 participants and alumni have taught over 50,000 public school students in urban poor and rural communities. Almost 37% of those who graduated from our leadership development programs joined the government as educators, policy coordinators and trainers of teachers and school leaders. Similarly, 27% are in nonprofit and 18% in the private sector.

Moni was named the California New Century Scholar by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation (2009), an honoree of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia for Social Entrepreneurship (2019) and an Obama Leader by the Obama Foundation (2019). He has served as a curator overseeing Global Shapers Phnom Penh Hub (an initiative of the World Economic Forum). He is a certified teacher from the New Jersey Department of Education with certification in science education and a Master of Science in education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Moni also served as a co-designer of the Master of Education for teacher development at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and was a lecturer in the Faculty of Education at RUPP.
