Munetsi Muhwati
START4Girls education specialist, CARE Zimbabwe

Munetsi has over 15 years' experience designing and delivering impactful adolescent empowerment programs across Zimbabwe. He has developed proven cutting-edge curricula and methodologies for leadership skills building, critical thinking and problem-solving skills development to unlock learners’ potential and transform their learning experiences.
Based in Mutare, at CARE Zimbabwe and other NGOs, Munetsi has led development and implementation of gender and disability inclusive education strategies including in the current START4Girls project (a large education project implemented in 103 Secondary Schools in Manicaland). Munetsi has contributed to education systems strengthening by guiding enhanced delivery of the Guidance and Counselling learning area through leadership skills development, Disaster Risk Reduction, safe schools promotion and climate smart school resilience building.
Munetsi is passionate about promoting teaching and learning that is innovative, 21st century life skills based, and learner centered. Having participated in various national education sector platforms, Munetsi has made lasting contributions for building the capacity of education systems across Zimbabwe.
Munetsi holds a Bachelor of Education Honors in Education Management from Zimbabwe Open University as well as a BSc Health Education and Promotion and a diploma in Adult Education from the University of Zimbabwe.
