Michelle Mesen

Michelle Mesen is a Senior Partnership Specialist and Team Lead of the Partner Country Engagement team at the Global Partnership for Education. She leads the team in supporting active engagement from partner countries across their constituencies and in GPE’s governance structures. Michelle facilitates strategic consultations with partner countries to ensure that GPE’s policies and overall work are informed by country views and respond to country needs. She also works on building stronger peer-peer collaboration and experience sharing among partner countries, enabling them to learn and benefit from each other. Michelle collaborates closely with Ministers and senior public officials across GPE’s partner countries to increase country voice and visibility within the partnership.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Southwestern University, a Master of Arts in International Communications from American University, and a Master of Science in Counseling from Loyola University. Michelle’s earlier work and study experiences have taken her to France, the UK, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.
