Melissa Chiappetta

Melissa Chiappetta is a Senior Education Advisor in USAID's Latin America and Caribbean Bureau. She is a research, monitoring and evaluation expert with 16 years of experience. Ms. Chiappetta has been supporting the development of methods for linking learning outcomes to SDG 4.1.1 for the past five years, with a specific focus on the development, piloting and refinement of Policy Linking for Measuring Global Learning Outcomes. She also helped to lead the creation of the Global Proficiency Framework.

Prior to working with USAID, Ms. Chiappetta served as Founding Director of Abt Associates' Center for International Evaluation and as Director of Impact Evaluation at Social Impact. She has a Master's Degree in Foreign Service for Georgetown University and has worked in more than 20 countries.
