Juliette Norrmén-Smith
Digital transformation of education specialist, UNESCO
Juliette Normén-Smith works in UNESCO's Section for Education Policy as a specialist in the digital transformation of education. She coordinates the Digital Transformation Collaborative, a multi-stakeholder group of UNESCO's Global Education Coalition that works with countries to develop holistic, sustainable digital transformation strategies that position technology as a lever for advancing equity, quality and inclusion in education.
She holds a master’s in international education from the University of Oxford, where she specialized in inclusive digital pedagogy and served as a researcher on a range of projects exploring the digital transformation of higher education.
Informed by her years as a teacher of students with special needs, her work investigates how to maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of digital technologies for education.
