Senior consultant

Juliette Myers works with charities, governments, multilateral agencies and civil society groups to improve their strategies to influence social change. Juliette is a writer, analyst, researcher and co-ordinator with strong overview of current priorities and debates in the international development, education, disability and child rights sectors.

From a background in education program design and implementation across sub-Saharan Africa, Juliette has shifted her focus in recent years to strategic policy research and donor advocacy in the northern hemisphere. With expertise in education research, advocacy, programs and policy, Juliette has worked with major stakeholders in the movement to achieve quality education for all children and retains a passionate belief in the power of knowledge and learning for self-determination and empowerment.

Juliette is a senior consultant for Enabling Education Network (EENET) and has worked with a wide range of clients including International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), UN Girls Education Initiative (UNGEI), UNICEF, Global Partnership for Education, UN Secretary General's Global Education First Initiative, DFID, Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Global Campaign for Education, Comic Relief, Save the Children, Plan UK, USAid, Because I Am A Girl Campaign, Sightsavers, UNESCO, World Vision and many others.

Juliette has a strong track record of delivering policy/advocacy research on girls' education, disability, child marriage and inclusive learning and a reputation for effective political outreach and co-ordination around high level events. Recent publications include the INEE Guidance Note on Gender with Emily Rees Smith, the education chapter of the IASC Guidelines for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action and a gender and education in emergencies toolkit forthcoming from Education Cannot Wait and UNGEI.
