Managing Director, Geneva Global

Dr Joshua A. Muskin is a Managing Director at Geneva Global, joining in 2016. He has 35-plus years in international development, working with bilateral, nongovernmental and multilateral organizations, and governments across over 50 countries. Much of his work has been in basic education and training. Here, he has supported quality, relevance and impact in the areas of curriculum and pedagogy, gender equality and inclusion, community partnership, learning assessment, literacy, teacher training, information and communications technology (ICT), and technical and vocational education, among others.
Dr. Muskin’s involvement has covered policy setting, training, program design, monitoring and evaluation, and management across all levels of an education system. He has also worked in other sectors, including in refugee settings, with WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) programming, comprehensive community development and more recently, in transitioning externally-funded projects to host-country system operation.
Prior to joining Geneva Global, Dr. Muskin was a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, Senior Education Officer at the Aga Khan Foundation, and a senior manager and technical advisor for a slew of development projects, based both in the United States and overseas, sometimes engaged as a consultant. He completed his graduate studies in Development Planning at the University of Pennsylvania.
