Hetal Thukral

Hetal Thukral is a data strategist and education practitioner with over two decades of experience. She has led implementation, evaluation and monitoring of K-12 programs globally and design and implementation of education programs in the US and abroad. She has worked with a variety of funders including USAID, FCDO, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), Banyan Tree Foundation, National Science Foundation and over 30 implementing partners.

She currently leads the Evidence and Learning Function in the Center for Education in the Bureau for Development, Democracy and Innovation (DDI) at USAID. Hetal holds a PhD in Education Statistics and Policy from the University of Maryland at College Park and is a former fellow at the Harvard Strategic Data Project.
