Frank Van Cappelle
Head of global learning innovation hub, UNICEF
Frank Van Cappelle is the head of UNICEF’s Global Learning Innovation Hub in Finland and the global lead for digital education. In this role, Frank drives UNICEF’s vision and strategy for learning innovation and the digital transformation of education systems.
The Hub is driven by a dual mission: to harness innovations to address the global learning crisis and to shape the future of learning now.
Frank is also the UNICEF lead for Gateways to Public Digital Learning, a joint UNESCO-UNICEF initiative that facilitates international cooperation between governments to strengthen national digital education systems.
He holds a Ph.D. in education from the University of Melbourne and has previously worked in academia, at UNESCO and various other UN agencies.
