Ed Lamot
Senior Country Operations Officer, GPE Secretariat
Ed. Lamot is Senior Country Operations Officer at the Global Partnership for Education Secretariat. He is currently the Secretariat’s country lead for Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal. From 2014 to 2018, he was country lead for Afghanistan, Pakistan and Pacific Small Island Developing States. He has also led the Secretariat’s work on the alignment of external financing for education with country systems.
Before joining the GPE Secretariat, M. Lamot worked in Mali (UNESCO), Burkina Faso and Burundi (Belgian Development Agency), specializing in joint education sector policy dialogue and education financing through multi-donor pooled funds. He also worked as a senior consultant for bilateral and multilateral development agencies, including assignments in Chad and Uganda.
