Alexander Towne

Alexander Towne is an international education and development professional with experience across full spectrum of educational delivery, from in classroom delivery to project, policy, and research work globally. He read an MA in Educational Planning, Economics, and International Development at the Institute of Education, UCL, and is currently a research fellow at ACER UK.

His experience and professional interests’ center around low- and high-tech education (EdTech) solutions, inclusive education, and shadow education, particularly within Southeast Asian contexts.

He is currently leading ACER UK’s collaboration with GPE KIX, scaling a girls empowerment initiative in refugee and internally displaced communities in East Africa, as well as supporting governments across sub-Saharan Africa to report against SDG indicator 4.1.1.
