Amy Jo Pentecost

Amy is an Advocacy and Public Policy Specialist at the Global Partnership for Education, focusing on technology for education, peacebuilding, and foundational and early learning. She brings a wealth of experience in advocacy, partnerships, planning and strategic communications within the education sector. Amy has played a key role in GPE’s engagement in forums such as the Global Education Summit, UN General Assembly and the Transforming Education Summit and led a series of evidence and policy briefs around education policy positions.

Prior to joining GPE, Amy worked with UNICEF’s Education Teams in New York and Beirut, and UNESCO’s Education Policy and Reform team in Bangkok. She holds a master's degree in international relations and a bachelor's degree in art history and English literature. With over 13 years of experience in the education sector, she continues her work managing partnerships, communicating clear results, reaching and influencing change makers and advocating for inclusive education policies.
