Giovanna Modé Magalhães is the Head of Policy of the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education (CLADE, for its acronym in Spanish), leading several projects mainly related to human rights education, equity and discriminations, adult education and early childhood care and education. As such, she acts as the technical coordinator of the research project Strategies to prevent sexual and gender-based violence and foster equity in rural schools in Nicaragua, Honduras and Haiti, part of the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) initiative.

She has been working for more than 15 years with education policies and human rights at national, regional and international levels, at both academic institutions and civil society organizations. She holds a Master (2010) and PhD (2019) in Sociology of Education by the School of Education of the University of São Paulo.
