Jamie Proctor

Jamie Proctor is an EdTech and Research Adviser seconded to the EdTech Hub from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Within the EdTech Hub, Jamie is Co-Lead for Tanzania, working across the EdTech Hub Hub activities in Tanzania. Within the FCDO Jamie currently leads on EdTech from the global office, as well as managing research programming including the World Bank’s Strategic Impact Evaluation Fund (SIEF).

Jamie’s background cuts across research, education and technology. He has worked in tech start-ups, and across UK Government Digital. He previously established a school construction NGO in Malawi, and maintains a keen research interest in the development of climate resilient and sustainable school infrastructure. He recently ran a study looking at low cost approaches to reduce classroom temperatures. He works with the EdTech Hub to provide thought leadership in the field of EdTech research - with specific focus on cost effectiveness research, and research on digital service delivery.
