Join us for the next Raise Your Hand LIVE! at the International Day of Education 2024 on January 24 at 9:30 am EST.
The online discussion will bring together Laura Frigenti, CEO of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Yasmine Sherif, Executive Director of Education Cannot Wait.
Hosted by GPE Youth Leader Heela Yoon, a peace and education activist based in the UK and founder of Afghan Youth Ambassadors for Peace, this Raise Your Hand LIVE! aims to highlight the critical link between education and peace, emphasizing how education has a multiplier effect, with the potential to reduce global inequities, drive economic progress and build a more peaceful and stable world.
It will address the urgent need for increased investment in education as a strategic approach to prevent violent conflicts and address fragility.
During the 15–20-minute talk-show, Laura Frigenti, Yasmine Sherif and Heela Yoon will share their insights and experiences on various topics, including the role of education in making a country more stable, the impact of cutting education budgets on peace, and how educating girls and young women is a central factor in preventing violence and conflict.
The event will be broadcast across GPE's X/Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook channels, and the recordings will be available on GPE's YouTube channel and website.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn and contribute to the conversation on education and peace.
