KIX national policy dialogue on education in Nigeria

The national dialogue is an opportunity to strengthen learning partnerships, synthesize knowledge and priorities, document evidence-based good practices in Nigeria that can be scaled throughout the country and to the other countries of the region.

The purpose of the event is to foster a shared understanding of the role and functions of the hub and its potential in Nigeria to facilitate learning, collaboration, and capacity strengthening in key areas of need along the following three KIX thematic areas:

  • Meeting the data challenge in education;
  • Achieving gender equality in and through education;
  • Leaving no one behind.

The event's objectives are to:

  • Synthesize existing knowledge and promising practices, map out plans and discuss the use of data to inform education policy formulation and decisions.
  • Engage stakeholders in a dialogue towards strengthening Nigeria’s national education system through the exchange of knowledge and innovation.
  • Provide a platform for local education group members and researchers to present their evidence, interests, and policy recommendations for impactful education delivery.
  • Through a call to action, document the outcomes of the dialogue on Nigeria’s engagement, priorities and policy challenges that can be addressed through research and knowledge sharing.
