As part of the activities of the KIX Africa 21 Hub, led by the consortium made up of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), the Conférence des ministres de l'Éducation des États et gouvernements de la Francophonie (CONFEMEN) and the Institut de la Francophonie pour l'Éducation et la Formation (IFEF-OIF) in its capacity as lead organization, two research projects have been undertaken.
The goal of these AUF-supervised projects is to explore and promote the effective integration of digital technology into Africa's education systems, focusing on three key pillars: robustness, equity and resilience.
This workshop aims to exchange and share the results of these research projects. The researchers' methodologies will be presented, along with the data collected and the conclusive results obtained. The workshop will be structured around the following two research projects:
- Project 1: "Les représentations des acteurs de l'éducation sur la place du numérique en contexte de pandémie de la Covid-19 au Burundi et en RDC" [Observations from education stakeholders on digital technology's place in the COVID-19 pandemic in Burundi and the DRC].
- Project 2: "Success-stories dans l'éducation à l'ère de la COVID-19 en Afrique subsaharienne et appropriation des pratiques porteuses d'effets : pour une étude expérientielle du numérique au Cameroun, Burkina Faso et Sénégal" [Education success stories in the era of COVID-19 in Sub-Saharan Africa and appropriation of effective practices: for an experiential study on digital technology in Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Senegal].
The event is intended for a wide audience interested in education issues in Africa, including policy makers, researchers, education practitioners, representatives of international organizations and civil society stakeholders.
In addition to the presentations, there will be open discussions to collectively reflect on concrete ways of effectively implementing the recommendations arising from these research projects.
