The 2014/2015 Results for Learning Report: Basic Education at Risk examines the progress achieved by GPE partner developing countries over the period 2008-2012.
Universal primary education has never been so close, yet there are still 58 million children of primary school age who do not go to school around the world, and 41 million of them are in partner developing countries. The report cautions that if progress and investments are not maintained, the hard-won achievements could be reversed. Particularly, basic education is losing priority with the share of budgets spent on primary education falling gradually.
