The vision in Kenya's National Education Sector Strategic Plan 2018 - 2022 is for "Quality and inclusive education, training and research for sustainable development", and the mission is "To provide, promote and coordinate competence-based equitable learner centered education, training and research for sustainable development". The plan has three themes: access and equity; quality and relevance; governance and accountability.
