Somaliland’s 2022-2026 education sector strategic plan (ESSP 2022-26) covers the education sector in Somaliland and builds upon the achievements of the previous sector plan 2017-2021 and accommodates the new thinking and policy direction that will support Somaliland aspirations for transformation of the education sector.

The central policy proposition for this Plan is to ensure Somaliland citizens have sufficient and appropriate skills, knowledge and competencies to drive the continued social and economic development of the country and be competitive in the global market.
