Uganda's Education and Sports Sector Strategic Plan (ESSP) 2017-2020 has been prepared to provide the policy framework that will guide the sector as it navigates through its ambitious goals of providing quality education. 

The ESSP 2017-2020 has three strategic objectives:

• achieve equitable access to relevant and quality education and training
• ensure delivery of relevant and quality education and training
• enhance efficiency and effectiveness of education and sports service delivery at all levels.
