Timed to coincide with the GPE Board of Directors meeting taking place in Paris this week, leaders of organizations around the world are demanding and taking action as part of the campaign to #FundEducation and #ShapeTheFuture.
At just two months before the GPE Financing Conference in Dakar, all these voices in support of education show the tremendous momentum that is growing and for which we are most grateful. Neven Mimica, European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development did the ultimate action by announcing an early pledge to the GPE replenishment. This is a testament to the importance that EU countries place on education as a tool to fight poverty, economic disempowerment and conflict. View the tweets by some of our most prominent supporters:

I asked 8 girls - kidnapped by Boko Haram - what they most wanted: all said education. We need governments and donors to #FundEducation at @GPforEducation financing conference http:https://t.co/0tASp5Qbdr…

I've seen the life changing impact education can have on the lives of the most vulnerable children - from Uganda to Jordan. But this must be backed by adequate financing in order to #shapethefuture @juliagillard @GPforeducation

To ensure the well-being and prosperity of future generations, today's youth must get the chance to attend school. More world leaders must follow @MimicaEU's example and support the @GPforEducation fund. They have the power to #ShapeTheFuture! https://t.co/jbRpYrgKwT
