H. E. Ato Shiferaw Shigutie

His Excellency Ato Shiferaw Shigutie has been Ethiopia's Minister of Education since July 2013. He represents the Africa 3 constituency on the GPE Board of Directors as an Alternate Member since November 2013.
Before becoming the Minster of Education, he was President of the Southern Nations and Nationalities Peoples Region (SNNPR), one of the largest regions in Ethiopia.
Minister Shiferaw Shigutie holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from the Azusa Pacific University in California, USA.
