Global Partnership for Education and Dubai Cares Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Work Together for Children’s Education

New York, September 30, 2013 – The Secretariat of the Global Partnership for Education and Dubai Cares have agreed to work together to improve education for some of the poorest children in the world. Specifically, the GPE Secretariat and Dubai Cares agreed to foster monitoring and evaluation approaches and innovative education programs, and jointly advocate for increased and more efficient education financing.

At the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Alice Albright, Chief Executive Officer of the Global Partnership, and Tariq Al-Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares, signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will help facilitate cooperation between the two organizations.

Dubai Cares is a philanthropic organization based in the United Arab Emirates, working to improve children's access to quality primary education in developing countries.
