Education partners in Ghana appeal to local media to support quality education campaign
The Northern network for education development (NNED) in Ghana is appealing to local media in the northern, upper east and upper west regions of the country to use their platform and call for improvement in the quality of education. Thanks to funding from non-governmental organizations like GPE, local governments have demonstrated greater commitment to making free primary education a reality. However, progress in students' performance in these regions has been particularly slow. The project manager of NNED explained that inviting the media to the table in their efforts to promote quality education was the right strategy because of their influence in the community.
